The Role:

To actively seek knowledge about the airport environment in order to enhance learning.

To gain an understanding of the role of the section and department, and to develop and appreciation of how the Engineering function fits into the business.

Proactively work towards all the relevant criteria to become and Engineering Technician upon completion of Apprenticeship

Assist in the execution of Planned (PPM) and Reactive (RA) maintenance work on a diverse asset base across both Airfield and Terminals infrastructure as directed by your line manager so as to ensure optimum availability/serviceability of assets

Assist in the execution of Planned (PPM) maintenance activities as directed by Line Manager; utilise MAG’s Enterprise Asset Management System (Maximo) to record all competition of all tasks and effectively report any assets which are out of tolerance or requiring further Corrective (CM) maintenance activities to ensure optimum availability.

Assist in fault finding activities for failed assets, learning logical fault finding techniques in a high pressure environment

Ensure that critical equipment failures are effectively communicated to Line Management and other key stakeholders.

Work proactively to ensure that any failures to critical Airport Operational Services are mitigated as quickly and effectively to minimise impacts on customers.

Safe Working – Always work safely, never cut corners, be prepared to address unsafe behaviours/acts and stop the job if required

Communication – Active participation in shift handover, ensure any and all outstanding tasks are effectively handed over to colleagues.

The Role:

A supporting role for the Project Controls team, providing Primavera P6 EPPM & SAP Financial application knowledge.

Support for creating and maintaining project budget data including schedules, actuals and forecasts.

Support for analysing progress reported against the work schedules and produce reports on projects’ progress performance forecasts.

Responsible (where applicable) & support for contributing to a number of projects where the outputs of this work will be aggregated to provide programme level plans, budgets, schedules, forecasts and reports.

A key development role within the Project Controls team, which will be shaped over the future with the development of Project Controls team, which be shaped over the future with the development of Project Controls within the business.

Assist in providing weekly status reporting on key business projects within any Financial Year to the Project Controls Manager and Group Head of Project Services for consumption by the Engineering Services Directors & Group Asset Management Directors.

Liaison with the local (departmental) Leadership team & business level approvers of the the CAPEX & GW in process in order to track progress & unlock any approval issues or blockages within the system.

Help produce near term (3 month look ahead week by week) capital projects cash-flow forecasts for MAG Finance.

Help produce up to date medium term (12 month rolling) forecast of capital projects cash-flow for capital programme Outturn.

Help produce longer term project and programme information to inform and update long term plans.

Assist in the development, planning and control of the overall Capital Expenditure plan for MAG covering one-year, five-year and ten-year business planning periods.

Assist in payment tracking and cash-flow forecasting for accrual purposes.

Assist in retentions management.

Ensure timesheet compliance and reporting on internal charges.

Work in conjunction with the MAG Supply Chain team and Strategic Programme Management supplier to develop capital expenditure efficiencies from standardisation and work bundling opportunities.

Assist with auditing commercial management services and contractor commercial management to ensure consistent high standards for MAG
