A group of dental practitioners have returned to education to further develop their skills and prepare themselves for career progression.
Five young women have chosen Bury College to gain qualifications which can help them climb the career ladder. In August 2017, the young professionals, who all work within the dental industry, completed their ILM studies. This diploma equips individuals with the management skills required to lead a team and progress into leadership roles.
This ILM Certificate has been completed as part of their Level 4 Dental Practice Higher Apprenticeship. This qualification will further develop their understanding of running a clinical practice and dental industry requirements. In addition, the higher apprenticeship also covers areas on how to lead and motivate a practice team.
37 year old Stephanie Thorley from Bury is currently working as the Dental Practice Manager at Inglewood House Dental Practice in Whitefield and is enjoying working towards the higher level dental qualification. Stephanie said, “I am gaining so much by completing this qualification. My confidence has improved and feel like I’ve grown more in my role. The tutors at Bury College are really supportive and on hand to help with assignments.”
