Degree Apprenticeships: Aspire, Apply, Achieve

Is a programme of four workshops aimed at supporting upper sixth/year 13 students through the application and selection process for degree apprenticeships. During the programme, each themed workshop will prepare students with writing online application forms, CVs, interview techniques as well as the opportunity to apply for a fictional apprenticeship. Participants will then be invited to attend the final session which will focus on a mock-assessment centre.

The programme will start in October, with one workshop per month until January. Completers of the programme will then be perfectly placed to engage with employers during the busy apprenticeship recruitment period.

 

Workshop 1  |  Wednesday 16th October: An introduction to Apprenticeships

  • Thinking about the importance of work experience

Workshop 2  |  Wednesday 13th November: Application workshop – How to write a successful CV and How to approach writing an online application form

Workshop 3  |  Wednesday 11th December: Application workshop – Preparing for Interviews and Assessment Centres

Workshop 4  |  Wednesday 22nd January: Mock-assessment centre & Reflective feedback session

The best preparation for the real thing is to practice! Take part in our mock-assessment centre and receive detailed feedback on the areas in which you impressed/need to improve.
