My Future – Opportunity for Manchester residents

My Future

Are you a Manchester resident, aged 18-24 (16-24 for MCC Cemetery Workers) and looking for paid work experience with a real opportunity for progression? Yes, then we may have the perfect opportunity for you!

The My Future programme will give you the chance to do a 4-week pre-employment training course at Manchester College followed by a 13 week paid work experience with Russells Construction, Biffa Waste Management or Manchester City Councils Bereavement Services, that will give you skills, an up to date reference and the support you need to step into that future career!

We currently have a number of paid placements in the following areas and locations:

  • Biffa Waste Management – Loaders – Gorton / South Manchester
  • Russells Construction – Labourer  – City Centre
  • Russells Construction – Admin – City Centre
  • MCC – Bereavement Services – Cemetery Workers – North / South / City Centre.

Recruitment for these opportunities will take place at our open day on Wednesday 18th July 10:00am-14:00pm at The Manchester College St Johns Campus (details below).

 The day will consist of group activities followed by an interview, please make all attendees aware of the start and finishing times. We recommend that attendees bring a packed lunch or money to buy something locally if they choose.
